There’s not a lot of juicy info here, but it seems that some Chinese component makers have been confirmed as first-tier manufacturers for the new iPad. The timing puts the new iPad in early 2011, almost certainly in January, a year after the initial launch. Has it really been that long?

Digitimes reports that Ibiden, Tripod Technology and TTM Technologies will start shipping PCBs to Apple in December and other companies will be added to the lineup in February, when sales start picking up.

Unfortunately, nothing was revealed other than the above, which admittedly wasn’t much in the first place, but this is just the first chatter surrounding the new device, and paying close attention to these reports may allow us to glean a little info here or there on what the update might bring.
