In a world dominated by same-same Windows Phone 7 handsets, LG have decided to take a different path to achieve product differentiation — free software.

LG will give away a selection of 10 free apps (valued at about $30 a bundle) via their LG Application Store every 60 days to anyone sporting one of their WP7 handsets. That’s 60 free apps a year for every customer.

LG have already created some LG-exclusive free apps — such as the PlayTo media streaming app — but these new free apps will be delivered in a revolving catalogue, meaning that you only have a limited time in which to download them for free.
