There was much celebration this morning when T-mobile fired up their 4G network in a further 6 US cities.
Residents of Chicago, Ill.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Ft. Wayne, Ind.; Louisville, Ky.; and Raleigh-Durham and Wilmington, N.C were heard to let out audible cries of joy when the download speeds on their HSPA+ handsets reached peak speeds of nearly 12mbps and average speeds of 5mbps.
To celebrate this, T-mobile will release their latest HSPA+ handset, the myTouch 4G, tomorrow, alongside a Dell Mini 10 HSPA+ compatible netbook.
The myTouch 4G runs Froyo, sports the latest 1GHz snapdragon processor, has a front facing camera, a 3.8″ 800×480 screen, a 5MP/720p camera, and comes in your choice of 4 colours. It will set you back $200 + two years of your life.

On a related note, they also released this goofy commercial showing the iPhone saddled with AT&T’s 3G issues. It seems to hit on all the right cylinders, especially when it makes the iPhone out to be the victim in the symbiotic AT&T/Apple relationship.
