Leica rumors are usually pretty subdued, since the company doesn’t exactly make consumer cameras. But if they’re getting on the EVIL train, that’s worth shouting from the rooftops. That seems to be what is indicated by these mysterious stamps on invitations to an event on Monday; the form factor recalls earlier rumors of a mirrorless, interchangeable lens camera to be announced at Photokina.

With a rumored price of €3200 for this thing, Leica isn’t aiming for the masses, and of course it would be suicide to do so. But I’ll wait for the actual photographic tests before considering this thing worth ten times the price of its competitors.
