One, it helps Amazon get the Kindle “out there.” Yeah, there’s Target, but Best Buy is the largest electronics retailer in the U.S. It doesn’t hurt to have your best-selling item in the biggest store of its kind, no?
For Best Buy, they get to say, “Come into our store! Try out the Kindle! Oh, and while you’re here, buy some video games for your children!”
So, Amazon gets more exposure, and Best Buy gets a hit product to sit on its shelves to further draw customers.
And now everyone gets to see, in person, what the big deal is about E-Ink displays.
