There is a small, but vocal, contingent of readers who pop up in the comments on e-reader stories and say they love their Sony Reader or such and such model. And while a lot of our attention is on the higher-profile items like the Kindle and iPad, we mustn’t rule out Sony… although they aren’t exactly a hotbed of innovation these days. In any case, the rumor is that we’ll be seeing a couple new Reader devices soon: a 5″ and 6″ version, 10mm thin, with touchscreens, 3G, and the new, improved Pearl e-ink displays.

Sounds good. But what about that Android rumor?
