The ORF made that decision by itself. It could just as easily have decided to donate the invaluable public archive of Futurezone to, say, the Austrian National Library.

And, do tell, what’s the name of the company involved in that sellout, and who’s involved with it?

This is not just a parliament thing. The ORF itself negotiated with print publishers, and that’s the dirty deal they got for wanting more money from advertisement. The only thing politics is to blame for is kowtowing to lobbyism.
