Japan-based Sanwa Supply is offering a wireless mouse [JP] that’s specifically designed for controlling presentations. Thanks to the built-in gyro sensor, you can move the mouse around like a Wiimote to highlight certain areas with a laser pointer (which is also built in) or light, zoom in or out of pages, write or underline text with a virtual pen, flip pages by moving your hand etc. (you can watch several short clips that show how the device works here).

The MA-WPR2 works in the 2.4 GHz band and can be used up to 15m away from the receiver (USB). Users can charge the device through USB (one charge is enough for 35 hours of operation), but it’s only compatible to Windows computers (XP, Vista and 7).

Sanwa Supply started selling the wireless mouse in Japan today (price: $125). Ask import/export specialists Geek Stuff 4 U if they can get one for if you’re interested but don’t live in Japan.
