If you’ve been anxiously waiting on the edge of your seat for your chance to nab some free stuff, you’ll be happy to know: Apple’s answer to Antennagate is now live. As of this morning, any iPhone 4 owner who might be having issues with their reception can register to receive a free case, be it one of the Apple-made rubber bumpers or one of the pre-selected third party cases.

So, how do you get yours?

First, download the iPhone 4 Case Program app to your iPhone. Punch in your iTunes login credentials, pick your case, verify your address, and… you’re done.

I haven’t been having too many issues with my reception, but I walked through the process of ordering a case — purely for the sake of science, of course, and not at all because I just like free stuff. The verdict: damn, that was easy.

On an interesting note: it appears Apple has disabled reviews for their iPhone 4 Case Program app, which I’ve never seen done before. Given that people just love to complain about free stuff, that’s probably for the better. Reading through five hundred one-starred “YOU DONT HAVE ANY CASES THAT I LIKE, CAN YOU JUST GIVE ME MONEY” reviews would be disheartening, to say the least.
