    Just look at that beast. But I guess some iPad owners probably want a convenient bed-side way to charge and store their iPad — of course it would work well on a desk, too. The iHome iA100ZE does more than just charge, though. The dock actually comes with an app that that turns the iPad into a sleep-monitoring, weather forecast-providing, $500 alarm clock.

    The thought behind this device is that this app will have all of the pertinant news all set for you first thing in the morning. This includes weather data, news, and your social media updates. That way everything is ready for your morning bathroom break.

    No word when the dock will hit iHome’s store so until then you’re going to have to do it the old fashion way with just the plain-ol charging cable. How lame. [via ChipChick]
