We know that Verizon is launching Droid X on the 23 – at least when it comes to press access – but it looks like they’re announcing to the rest of the world as well, right now, via a Flash-rich teaser site that allows you to pop in your email for more info.

As far as we know the Droid X is basically an Evo 4G killer and if it’s anything like the excellent Droid, we’ll be happy campers. Why are they announcing this thing so soon? I suspect it’s Android fatigue. People have so many devices to choose from right now they’re probably loathe depend on the buzz generated naturally and need to goose things a little. After all, didn’t we all just buy Droids a little while ago?
