I’ll go ahead and say it: if you want an iPhone 4 and didn’t pre-order yesterday, you’re going to have a hell of a time getting one on launch day. In fact, you might have a tough time getting one any time near launch day.

As the pre-orders piled up last night and the first batch of stock ran dry, Apple changed their pre-order shipping estimate from June 24th to July 2nd. The orders, it seems, aren’t slowing; just a few hours later, the estimate has been bumped yet again, from July 2nd to July 14th. If things continue to spiral, late-comers could very well be seeing shipping estimates delays of up to a month after launch.
