I know this is a little out of our traditional scope of coverage, but let’s pass the word that McDonald’s Shrek promo glass contain toxic metal cadmium and are being recalled.
CPSC spokesman Scott Wolfson to Reuters,
“A very small amount of cadmium can come to the surface of the glass, and in order to be as protective as possible of children, CPSC and McDonald’s worked together on this recall,
The CPSC is advising people to stop using the glasses immediately and visit www.mcdonalds.com/glasses (The link is dead for me) or call McDonald’s toll-free at (800) 244-6227 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday to file for a full refund. Here’s me refraining from making a lame joke about this is just another way McDonald’s is killing its loyal customer base.
