Oxford based independent games studio Red Redemption, makers of the the Fate Of The World game, have completed a £770,000 ($1.2M) rights issue from a network of High Net Worth Angel Investors. Jim Monks, an investor in Tweetmeme, is backing the company.

Interestingly they’ve attacked the UK government’s Enterprise Finance Loan Guarantees in the UK which they describe as “underwhelming.”

Fate of the World is a game which features scenarios covering the next 200 years but is only on PC or Mac.

As this is desktop software, this investment is baffling to me unless they plan to launch an online MMORPG version.
