Dude, you’re getting sued by Dell! That is, more or less, what five major tech firms — including giants Sharp Corp., Hitachi Ltd., and Toshiba Corp., as well as Seiko Epson and HannStar — were told on Friday, when Dell filed suit at a U.S. district court, charging that the companies engaged in the price fixing of LCD monitors.

As reported by Reuters, full details of the lawsuit were not disclosed, and the five companies sued are being relatively mum on the issue.

This could turn out to be a pretty big deal, with the result possibly bringing to light some shady business dealings. Moreover, it helps explain why I’m still using a huge, ugly tube-style monitor at home.
