You know how TweetMeme started out trying to be the Techmeme of Twitter before it ventured off plastering its ReTweet buttons on every blog on the Web? Well now there’s a site that just launched today that wants to be the TweetMeme of Google Buzz called ReBuzzThis.
It is not much to look at right now—five lame links as of this writing. But the site wants to encourage blogs and other sites to add its ReBuzz buttons to posts and articles. The posts that get ReBuzzed the most shoot up the homepage just like on TweetMeme with ReTweets. Except that TweetMeme tries to count all retweets, not just those done through its buttons. ReBuzzThis seems to only count Rebuzzes done through its site and buttons, so it is not really capturing the most Buzzed about articles and posts.
But it may be onto something. One of the top feature requests on Google Buzz is a Rebuzz button. So we may see an official version of ReBuzzThis come out on Google Buzz itself.

this is just what i need…great
This is what I don’t need. Google buzz alone is great.. But having something as an echo of it, is more of a spam to me.
Imagine.. conversations, echoing over and over again to the web? Gee..
oh wait a second.. maybe next week we will have. Buzzmeme.com?
oh great! (sarcastic)
Services like this really help bloggers to share their conversation on Buzz. In blogger point of view websites like this are essential.

Are people still using Google Buzz?
I don’t see any buzz around ‘Buzz’ except in TechCrunch.

:D , Domain’s gone now……wow this guys are fast, I just hope it’s not a domain squatter and the Guy will actually do something viable with it, check this:

Hey Buddy, just give me the credit later, :) , if you set the idea, I’ll be using it, and good luck. Charly O. Djachao.
great idea and another threat to Digg, do you guys here use Buzz? if yes why?
lol @ another threat to Digg! =)))
Yeah i have try.. but not now
Nope Buzz Isnt that effective by the way ., I somehow feel Digg is better than Buzz, atleast your article gets listed in Search Engines., Where we cannot expect that from Buzz, which may be get traffic only on a particular day.
Where for People writing Tech blogs or more not changing over time content, I feel Digg is far better. Google Buzz is not in my list of useful services.
it is always who reach there first , who eat it first
Is there any way buzz could become like tweet and google crushes people using buzz in there URL?

Huh?
Great work Zach! Nice to see someone doing something like this at such a young age.
Thanks Ryan!
Thanks for the post Erick! You pointed out one of the main things about the counter which will be upgraded to be accurate hopefully by the end of this weekend.
ReBuzz isn’t the first. There is Buzrr.
http://buzrr.com/
But ReBuzz buttons look better.
check http://techlimit.blogspot.com/
Google Buzz really sucks..! Tried using it..! No use.. Worst ever thing I have ever used.. I don’t think ReBuzz will do any good as Google Buzz literally sucks and nothing can make it better..
I still think that http://buzzzy.com/ is much better, more results and better results.
We launched a true Buzz This counter a few days ago:
http://njuice.com/button/
While rebuzzthis just counts individual clicks on the buttons, we track the count of all buzzes no matter where they are shared from using a Google Buzz “firehose”. On top of that we offer a lot of feature rebuzzthis don’t.
I submitted this two days ago, but for some reason this counter was more interesting. Just trying to find out why :)
You are unlucky dude.. :) not every one get featured on TechCrunch.. i am wondering why they featured a site with a few links and which counts button clicks..
yours and buzzzy are far better..
Don’t understand the negativity about a ReBuzz button. Always thinking the 3 magic words of SEO is content, content, & content. And if you don’t want it, don’t download it. But that’s just me, and we’re still Friends!
RebuzzThis has been added to BuzzAware – The Google Buzz Applications Directory.
FYI – Beware of adding the Rebuzzthis buttons to Web sites that user Jquery 1.3.2 – 1.4.2 .. I added the button and it broke all all sorts of Jquery function calls. I removed the button and everything worked like a charm.
Rebuzzthis FTL.
I will have this fixed, meaning all buttons will open popup windows instead when clicked. Thanks for letting us know!
And now buttons open popup windows instead.
Nice but… who uses Buzz??
fbthis.com and rebookthis.com is for sale! Could turn those into Facebook resharing websites or something….who knows lol
