An Italian security site ran an interview with Pwn2Own contest winner Charlie Miller about secure systems. He said Windows 7 was pretty darn secure but that – get this – Flash eats it big time when paired with an insecure browser.

In your opinion, which is the safer combination OS+browser to use?

That’s a good question. Chrome or IE8 on Windows 7 with no Flash installed. There probably isn’t enough difference between the browsers to get worked up about. The main thing is not to install Flash!

The full interview is great and includes his thoughts on Linux security (not to great) and OS X (also not too great.) But heck, if you’re some crazy super security guy, of course everything is a piece of cake.
