The AigoPad is just another example that 2010 will be the year of tablet computers. Not much is known about the slate just yet. All we really know is that the Chinese manufacturer states that Android will power the device and that’s good enough for us. Hopefully it will end up looking something like the concept shown here and less like the fugly iPad.

The AigoPad is likely just part of the first wave of Android-powered tablet computers we’ll see this year. Manufacturers are probably using all the positive, but mostly negative, reactions to the Apple iPad to carve out their own tablet computers. Android is the most obvious choice to power these computer too due to its low hardware requirements and already proven touch interface.
