Give Gaming Gear for the Greater Good

i controller ny Cool merchandise. A great cause. Pretty much a match made in Valhalla. Today only, Major League Gaming will be donating 50% of the proceeds from the sale of MLG Merchandise and purchases from Xbox Live to the Histiocytosis Association of America.

This is the third year that the competitive gaming league has held its Give Back Day.

Here’s what MLG has to say about Histiocytosis:

One in 200,000 children and one in 560,000 adults are diagnosed every year with this disease. They have an abundance of white blood cells that attack healthy organs and tissue. Tumors erode bone away and grow rapidly throughout their bodies. Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis is an orphan disease which means not enough people have it so the government doesn’t fund research for it. There is no known cure. It is not transmittable or hereditary and the only treatments out there are the same they use for cancer patients: radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and surgery.

So if there’s a gamer in your family or group of friends, check out the store here or hop on Xbox Live and help out a great cause. It’s a clear win-win.
