Just a quick reminder that today is the last day to submit your nominations for our third annual Crunchies Awards. We’ve received over 100,000 nominations so far, but just in case you’ve forgotten, go here right now and add some more. You have until midnight PT tonight.
Once all the nominations are in, the Crunchies Committee will choose five finalists per award category. From there, the popular voting will begin on December 21 and run through January 6, leading up to the live ceremony Friday, January 8, 2010 at 7:30 pm PT the Herbst Theater in San Francisco which we’re pleased to be co-hosting with GigaOm and VentureBeat. The full rules are here.
Again, nominations end tonight at midnight, so get them in.

Just nominated for plancast, loving it.
FB, Twitter, FF, … small startups have no chance here. Pfft.
they deserve it more than most of the small startups.
Half of these “startups” are just mashups, meaning they employ the resources of bigger places like wikipedia, facebook or youtube to accomplish their central “purpose”
Luckily the past few years TC has not given the awards to any of these, so while I agree with your notion that the Crunchies will be largely dominated by companies like FB and Twitter, I will at least feel like they deserve it.
Point taken.
Respectfully disagree, Steffen… Tradepal is so disruptive that I voted them as best new Startup of 2009
fully agreed Julia. promote originality!
If you want a small startup to vote for Fido Factor would love your votes in the Best Bootstrapped Startup category. Check out our website & free iPhone app. We’re like the Yelp for all things dog friendly.
I nominate CrunchPad for most entertaining soap opera of a startup, and the biggest hissy fit by a founder.
Can’t wait to see who gets picked! I personally hope to see Muttr.com in a few of them
