In light of the recent VBlocks announcement, I think maybe VMWare didn&#039;t want to let the cat out of the bag that they were going to provide turnkey infrastructure solutions for unified compute. Couple this with long range DRS and you&#039;ve got the ability to move instances (workloads) from say your private VBlock, to the Savvis cloud to the Terremark cloud. That&#039;s no vendor lock in for the cloud services themselves, while leveraging what I consider to be the superior hypervisor in the market with superior management tools.
