It’s been a long old time since we checked in with Bristol based Coull, the application which helps brand owners create their own video portals and interactive video content.

The startup has now has secured additional funding of £500,000 and hired Vaughan Denny the former head of rich media sales for Google Europe.

Coull has technology for turning a video clip into an advert that is used by media agencies like Isobar/Carat and Mindshare for their advertisers including Adidas, Nike and Ford.

Agencies can get a self-service tool that allows the inclusion of interactive areas within the video they upload. It’s not completely dissimilar to that other UK video startup Quick.TV, but the latter focuses on publishers, not agencies.

I wish people could hear the truth about the history of companies such as this, I would not invest a penny in such ventures, nor should anyone be allowed. We complain about banks etc all over the press, but this is just as bad, if not worse. A lot of people have already paid and been hurt!
