Nokia pulling out of MWC

This is a bit of inside baseball but Nokia is pulling out of Mobile World Congress and will not have a booth. Their citing costs as well as their current access to carriers as the reason.

The show, which is held yearly in Barcelona, has seen its numbers decline every year. Last year it saw 47,000, not bad but not great. With vendor consolidation it looks like the only folks with anything to show there will be manufacturers with smartphones running Android or WinMo.
