I’m going to skip the Ed Hardy rant. I don’t know a lick about tattoos (I’ll leave that to Peter), and apparently it’s already been done. I’ll just say this: the tattoos may look gorgeous on skin, but slap 20 of them into a small space and the resulting cornucopia of color looks like something that belongs on a clown.

Such is the case with the Sony Ericsson W595, which just went up for pre-order exclusively at the UK’s Carphone Warehouse. Beyond the new face, it’s all the same W595 as previously released: QVGA screen, HSDPA, 3.2 megapixel camera, and Bluetooth 2.0. The current listed price pins it down for free on an 18 month contract, while a sans-contract handset will set you back £249.95 (roughly $409 bucks.)
