Breath over IP is a project that uses a bunch of DIY gear to send breath over the Internet. Breathe into the sensors on one end, and make a fan spin somewhere else in the world! The applications are nearly limitless: blow out birthday candles on a cake miles away, blow out candles you left burning at home, or tickle your lover’s ear when you’re on that business trip!

This is part of the Phys2Phys project, which aims to facilitate physical interactions over the Internet. A good compliment for Breath-over-IP is Touch over IP.
