eMachines comes out swinging with the EZ1601-01 all-in-one PC. The “EZ” stands for “easy on the wallet” — I should have been in advertising — as the machine is priced at just $399. The company apparently saved a bunch of money on the above product image with the weird GIF outlines and is passing the savings on to you!

It’s basically a netbook in a monitor as far as specs go:

    • Intel Atom N270 (1.6GHz)
    • Windows XP Home
    • 18.5-inch monitor with 1366×768 resolution
    • 1GB of RAM
    • 160GB hard drive
    • 8X DVD burner
    • Ethernet/Wi-Fi
    • Five USB ports, two PS/2 ports (!), audio in and out
    • Weighs nine pounds

The machine has just been unveiled and isn’t quite available in stores or online yet, although it shouldn’t be too long.
