    Poken is really the greatest gadget!

  • NV

    POKEN!

  • Michael Loetscher

    Poken Rocks bigtime

  • George

    Yeah Poken rocks if you like to dance to Miley Cyrus. I can’t even figure out why they’re nominated here. Have you guys even tested their ‘web service’? Doesn’t work half of the time and the UI looks like something done by a Microsoft intern. Go for the underdog!

  • Sacha

    A vote for E is a vote for the future.

  • KTKillo

    POOOOOOOOKEN!

    Opinions vary, but for Japan, Poken RULES!

  • alansmithee

    Try Poken ;)

  • Dave

    Rob Van Nylen, a guy who commented about Poken, is an official distributor of Poken in Japan. Poken website allowed non-SSL communication. It’s also true that users information is collected and analyzed so that marketers can find a better target audience for their products. Some events in Japan are giving away free Poken. You can get it, but never login to the Poken website.

    Poken has been successful for utilizing early adapters and giving a presentation in tech meetings. Nobody among my friends is taking Poken seriously. Most are waiting for “My name is E”.

    Poken Japan is running a campaign for this voting.

  • Emeric

    Poken for sure !!!!
    It’s awesome.

  • xaky

    No contest. POKEN all the way!

  • Elliot

    Do I Poken? Of course. The real question is who doesn’t?

    Come on guys,

    Poken is not great.
    You do not want to cherish it like you cherish an Iphone;
    The plastic is not polished; there is a flaw(=asperity) at the place where the 2 pieces merge.
    It has a battery that you have to replace;
    The interface is not working properly;

    It will be for sure supplanted in 3 to 6 months by apps on Iphone or Android…

    What do you guys think?

  • Brian Jesamen

    The only thing to take seriously about Poken is the chuckles and ridicule that anybody carrying one of these useless things gets and deserves.

    Their hardware is pointless in the age of the iPhone/BlackBerry. Their web service is among the most buggy and poorly designed I have ever seen from a VC-backed venture.

    I have to wonder if TechCrunch is ‘on the take’ for even putting Poken on this list. Seriously.

    Poken is rubish, we tried it out and it was really bad, they hardly ever worked…

    Also the team is really bad with problems

    I must say My name is E is a much better product. Nicer design…

    GO E

  • Vivi

    Poken

  • steven

    Let’s vote FON then :-)

  • Thomas

    My name is E is far superior to Poken.

    If people seriously think the Poken design is a winner they need medical help! I’ve never seen anything so childish.. And i could never wear one..

    Although two revolutionary products “My name is E” stands out as the champion for the slick design and amazing funtionality..

  • sven

    Poken? You are kiddding! Sounds like the Poken team asked for some people to vote :-) Anyhow, i think E is better than Poken. And, I really like FON (especially their last router)

  • pascal

    What’s the difference between Poken et My name is E ? have you tested both?
