43301_1_468jpegWhen you hit the switch on a lamp, you probably have some preconceived notions about where the light is going to come from. It’s time to purge your mind of such design prejudices and embrace the weird and impractical; this “WTF, not what I thought” lamp, designed by John Nouanesing, will challenge your notions of what a lighting device should be.

Well, maybe that’s putting it a bit strongly, but it’s a pretty cool little idea. You could probably build your own by just mounting a lampshade on top of a fluorescent bulb, but it wouldn’t be quite as cool.
