You can get the YouTube-friendly JVC Everio GZ-MS100 (see our review here) for $180, down from around $300 or so elsewhere. The camcorder features DVD-quality recording, a 35x optical zoom, and records to SD and SDHC memory cards.
In our review, I praised the camera for its above-average video quality, ease of use, and good low-light performance but criticized JVC’s use of .MOD files as being hard to work with in video editing software. If you just need to go straight to YouTube without a lot of post-production work, though, this Everio is a pretty decent find for under $200.
