Ebook device Bookeen announced last week that they are going to be introducing a new device, the “Cybook Opus.” Intended as an alternative to the Kindle, the details are sketchy so far, but we know that they are trying to make a lighter, more portable device then the other devices on the market.
Here’s what we do know, from the very basic information they are providing us with:
Very light (5.3 ounces)
1 GB of built in storage
200 DPI resolution
12 Different font sizes
“pocket size”
What we don’t see is what the actual size of the screen will be. You would expect the screen size to be the first thing that a company would mention, rather then the last. Sounds suspicious to me.
