Get ready for… Guitar Hero Idol, maybe! There’s some rumblings going on that Activision Blizzard is considering turning Guitar Hero into a TV show. It’d either be an American Idol-esque contest show or more along the lines of a reality show. (Those are still around, reality shows?) Yes, perhaps the dumbest idea to ever come out of the United States of America.
But, that’s just my lowly opinion. You’d be a fool to not recognize that Guitar Hero and its ilk are mad popular these days, and there certainly wouldn’t be a lack of people willing to try out. (I can’t wait for the early episodes where the producers cleverly put terrible guitarists on the air… lol, they’re so bad why did they even bother showing up?! Hollywood should be shut down.) And, presumably, if people are still willing to sit through American Idol, why wouldn’t they sit through Guitar Hero Idol? I imagine it’d be huge in high schools. The guys would watch the hate on the contestants (“I’m better than that jerk”) and the girls would swoon and fight over who has the nicest eyes.

My guess it’ll need lots of sweeping camera movements to keep it interesting.
