I’ve been tempted to get one of these things for a long time, but generally they cost about twice as much as this one (MSRP is $60). This deal at ZipZoomFly has it at $35 with a $15 mail-in rebate and shipping is free, which makes it the cheapest I’ve ever seen. It’ll connect your SATA hard drives to your rig via USB2 or eSATA. If you’ve got a couple old 3.5″ or 2.5″ HDDs hanging around, this might be a smart investment, if $20 can be said to be an investment.

I’d do it myself but after paying taxes, I’m down to a hundred bucks and a bunch of rupees to last until the end of the month. But damn do I need one of these! I’m using terabytes of storage as bookends because I don’t have any more SATA slots!

Hit up the deal here.
