Gather ye ’round for what could be the first almost-photo of the Nikon D400, first spotted on Nikon’s German Web site. This almost-photo—there’s no photo of the camera itself, but rather the telltale question mark of an imagine that didn’t properly load in a Web browser—does list the key specs, however. How does 15.3-megapixel CMOS sensor sound to you? Or an ISO range of 200 to 6400? Or maybe the Full HD video capture mode is more your style?
Not that it matters, per se, since this can all just be a clever ruse conducted by ze Germans. Still, the specs are pretty believable, just “speed bump-y” enough from the D300. And if I’m not mistaken, this would be the first Nikon to shoot 1080p video, unless Nikon’s version of “Full HD” means something else entirely.
And while we’re on the subject of cameras, anyone use a film camera recently? Comedian Louis CK has a nice “digital cameras vs. film cameras” argument on his Web site, and the film photos look tremendous.
