    Battlestar Galactica
While most folks will be drinking crappy green beer today pretending that they have some Irish heritage, some members of the cast of Battlestar Galactica will be heading to the United Nations in New York for a panel discussion of how the show examined issues such as “human rights, children and armed conflict, terrorism, human rights and reconciliation and dialogue among civilizations and faith,” according to the SciFi channel Syfy.

Tonight at 7 PM in the U.N.’s Economic and Social Council Chamber, executive producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick, as well as stars Mary McDonnell (President Laura Roslin) and Edward James Olmos (Admiral William Adama) will join U.N. representatives for a panel moderated by Whoopi Goldberg. A full transcript of the discussion is expected to be made available in the near future.
