Seiko Japan’s Slimstick [JP], a pedometer, hit stores in Nippon last year and proved to be a huge hit among body-conscious Japanese girls. Now the company added five new colors to the three existing ones (zebra gold, silver, pink, white and piano black), but the specs remain unchanged.

Sized just 64.4x20x8.9mm, the new stick (WZ820) weighs only 15g and features a dual-axis accelerometer. The slimstick also comes with a clock and calendar function. Users just need to clip the candy bar onto their clothes or put it in a bag and the device will automatically start tracking their activity.

Six functions are included: step counter, walking distance, walking time, calorie counter, fat loss counter and exercise value. Data can be analyzed and saved for up to 7 days.

The new slimsticks are already on sale in Japan, where they cost $60. If you live outside Nippon and are interested in buying the thing, contact Japan Trend Shop, Gizmine, Geek Stuff 4 U or Rinkya (there should be no language barrier in this case).
