startrekblu-rayTrekkies, your day is almost here. We know all of you are also AV nerds so you probably have your Blu-ray player sitting, waiting, anticipating the day when you can watch Kirk & Co. in glorious HD. Paramount is bringing the first six Star Trek films to the format on May 12 in a box set. I can’t wait.

The films have been loaded onto a BD-50 dual-layer disc with 1080p video, Dolby TrueHD 7.1 Surround sound and BD-live media. The entire six film box set is set at $104.99 but thankfully, the Genesis Arc three film trilogy will also be available with a much more unemployed-geek price of $48.99.
