They are an American company doing a small test on American soil. It is not yet time for them to do some big international test. Its a beta test, people. It is, by definition, a small test of unfinished software. Cut them some slack! I mean, you would prefer this over them doing a worldwide test of potentially buggy software…wouldn’t you?

The firewall technology you see in Smoothwall and PFsense was commercialized in the 90′s, and it took many years for open source to catch up. There is one open source alternative called Packetfence but it is very complex and not as slick as Napera.
