Quantum of Solace: Japan gets a cool 007 cell phone

oo1_phoneJames Bond is a huge brand name in Japan. In cooperation with regional telcom Okinawa Cellular [JP], KDDI au (the nation’s No. 2 telecommunications company) will start selling a special edition of its W63S (CDMA 1X WIN) cell phone tomorrow.

The handset, which is made by Sony Ericsson, features a design that’s inspired by the newest Bond movie, 007 Quantum of Solace.

The Japan-only device costs around $145. It’s limited to 3,000 units Nippon-wide.
