Netbook, notebook, call it whatever you want — the MSI X320 is slick city, my main man. Here’s a hands-on video and some photos of the device, plus info about pricing and availability.
Price: Starting at $699
Availability: April
Weight: 2.9 pounds
Battery Life: Up to 10 hours (according to MSI)
Other: Three USB ports, VGA out, Ethernet
Prognosis: Dead sexy
The demo unit was running Windows Vista, but I’d bet MSI would offer an XP version as well. Who knows, though, as the April release date might shake things up a bit. All in all, the thing seemed fairly responsive. The keyboard was big, with nice responsive keys, and the 13.4-inch screen looked pretty nice.
If anything else, the $699 starting price oughta strike fear in the hearts of many. It’s really not a netbook once you get past the Atom processor but whatever it is, it’s light, portable, relatively inexpensive, and gorgeous.
