Silicon Valley Stands United Against Prop. 8

This is a full page ad that will run in the San Jose Mercury news tomorrow. I want to make fun of the wine and cheese crowd flocking to jump on the anti-Prop. 8 bandwagon, but I’m not going to.

Discrimination in any form isn’t acceptable, and banning gay marriage is discrimination. Prop 8 will eliminate the right to marry for same-sex couples in California by amending the state’s Constitution. If… → Read More

    NASCAR and LittleBigPlanet team up

Chances are the average Joe-the-NASCAR-Fan doesn’t have any idea what the hell LittleBigPlanet is but Joey Logano helped the knitting cause in the #20 Nationwide Series car last week. Those not keeping track of the Nationwide’s cup standings, Joey is now back on top of the points standing after taking 5th in last weeks race. I’m sure he credits the win to his little friends… → Read More

Face Gadgets: Rolling Razor = blades on a ring

I don’t find shaving to be a good use of my time. As such, I use a trimmer every week or so to just clip the little guys down to a manageable, non-itchy length. It’s one of the sad perks of never interacting with real human beings day after day. Anyhoo, this Rolling Razor thing looks a bit intriguing as it’s basically reminiscent of a secret decoder ring with two blades on either… → Read More

Generally, Garmin announces these aviation models in the summer months, but… → Read More

Miyamoto wants "fresher" games: Sister, so do I

Shigeru Miyamoto is a gaming god. He made some of the defining games of our generation and essentially defined the world as we know it when it comes to platformers and, to an extent, RPGs. That said, homeboy has been slacking lately and he admits it. For example, he wants to make his games good at the core and not just, to use his cooking metaphor, sauce a nasty piece of meat in hopes of making a… → Read More

Zazzle, the site that lets you custom-design and sell everything from T-shirts and hoodies to sneakers and skateboards, has launched a new feature that may well put it leagues ahead of its competitors: embroidery.
