In the gadget blogging business there is something we call the SkyMall Effect. This is the constant sense that after rewriting 50 press releases in a single day we begin to sound like copywriters for SkyMall, the magazine you find in airline seatbacks from here to Djibouti. When words like “ground-breaking,” “svelte,” and “sleek” enter your vocabulary, you know you need a break. Strangely enough, however, we’ve just been quoted by SkyMall merchant Richard Solo for their backup battery which may, in fact, be a direct inversion of the SkyMall Effect. As you see, they took some liberties with the quote but Doug was honestly stoked by the device so let’s give them this little victory and move on to the next svelte, sleek, and uber-sexy device on our radar.
