Wonders never cease: Thanko, our favorite Japanese crap vendor, now actually offers something useful for a change. Their so-called “video glass media player”, essentially sun glasses that can be used to watch movies, view pictures and listen to music, have been on sale since last week.

The wireless device (weight: 100g) plays music in MP3 and WMV while it supports MP4/MPG/AVI (Divx3/4/5&xVid)/ASF video files. Thanko claims users will get the illusion of viewing movies and pictures on a 50-inch monitor (“You can have your private theater wherever you go!”).

The player supports miniSD cards and USB 2.0, comes with a bilingual menu (English, Chinese) and costs $330. Expect this device to be listed in Thanko’s English online shop soon.
