‘Everun Note’ AMD Turion-based UMPC to cost $879

Raon Digital’s “Everun Note” has gotten an MSRP of $879. That’s a pretty hefty price tag for a notebook with a 7-inch screen. But while this device may resemble a netbook on the outside, what’s on the inside puts it into the UMPC or subnotebook categories.

As previously reported, the Everun Note will weigh just over a pound and a half, feature a 7-inch touchscreen with a 1,024×600 resolution, 1.3-megapixel webcam, XP Home, and storage choices that range between a 12GB SSD and an 80GB hard drive. The CPU will be an AMD Turion 64×2 Dual-Core running at 1.2GHz with 1MB of L2 cache and the graphics system is an ATI RS690E with 64MB of memory.

UMPCPortal notes that the $879 price tag will help the Everun Note give more powerful ultraportables like the OQO, the Samsung Q1, and the Sony UX series a run for their money. I really like the looks of that keyboard for some reason. It’s probably got something to do with the full-sized shift keys.

Availability isn’t known yet, but the $879 MSRP was given to UMPCPortal in US dollars, so it appears that Raon Digital will be selling the Everun Note stateside after all.
