Cricket introduces mobile video service for five bucks

Cricket today announced a new level of service to their unlimited talk and data plans. The 5-dollar a month plan is available immediately and allows users to view one-to-four-minute-long video clips directly from select handsets.

Plans are pretty cheap at the growing wireless provider, starting at $45 for unlimited access. Even if the 5-buck charge is thrown on top, it’s still a pretty good deal. Certainly when you consider how Verizon handled it when they tricked their customers into thinking they could download large files.

Cricket isn’t available in all areas, but their coverage map seems to be growing. They recently announced availability in St. Louis and Las Vegas with plans to expand into Savannah, GA and Milwaukee, WI.
