Xtract closes 7.5m Euro B round

Xtract, a web an mobile analytics company I have been tracking for a while, has closed its series B round of funding with EUR 7,5 Million ($11.74M) from leading early-stage technology investors Creandum, ETF III advised by Eqvitec Partners and InnovationsKapital.

Xtract specialises in something it calls “social advertising intelligence” . In Englsih, that means it enables mobile and online companies to refine their data about customers and improving ad targetting. They use data on social interactions, behaviour and demographic information. Currently Xtract works with over 50 companies including Nokia, T-Mobile, Vodafone and startups like BLYK and Flirtomatic.

This funding round is further evidence that VCs are highly interested in startups which can either interrogate social web data intelligently, or startups that own/generate it.
