FlyTunes, a free radio streaming application for the iPhone/iPod touch, just got some upgrade love. They’ve added over 200 new channels to the list, bringing the number of available streams up to around 350. Not bad for free, when you consider that subscription satellite services like XM and Sirius only manage to offer about 70 channels each. They’ve also added support for video and podcast streams, which make up a number of the new channels.

FlyTunes has also received a few UI upgrades. You can now customize your channel listings, and recommend streams to your iPhone toting friends via SMS.

Check it out by pointing your iPhone/iPod touch to http://www.FlyTunes.fm
