I bet nobody saw that headline coming. Well, it’s the end of an era. A short, unimportant era which will be called by Sony Execs “the era in which our controller kind of sucked.” I never had any trouble with my SIXAXIS, but I’ll be glad to have rumble now and I’m guessing they probably tweaked a few things on the inside too. If you have a SIXAXIS, you’re now holding a collector’s item by the way, since they’ve been discontinued. I was getting tired of writing SIXAXIS in all caps anyway. Writing and saying wiimote is much funner, which is probably the basis for that controller’s success. Look for the Dual Shock 3 in your favorite retailer starting on the 14th.
