Rumor: Beatles edition of Guitar Hero

The other week when I interviewed the Huang brothers, creators of Guitar Hero, I did my best to glean any possible information on other band-specific versions of the popular game to no avail. I’m sorry, but I’m just not that big a fan of Aerosmith. I listened to them a lot back in the day (10+ years ago) and they’re just not that great. I’m positive that the only track I like is ‘Walk This Way’ with Run DMC and that’s mostly due to the fact that Run DMC was apart of it. And the track from “Armageddon” seems to get the ladies in the mood. Failing that it makes them cry which sucks when you’re trying to get a little nookie, right? But I digress.

So the Beatles, who’ve been making the rounds lately, may be coming to a console near you.

But take that with a big grain of salt. The executive that runs the company who owns the copyrights to Lennon and McCartney’s music is a big fan of the idea. But that’s about it.

“It’s something we have talked about and something I’d like to pursue,” said Bandier, who last year took over as chairman and chief executive at Sony/ATV Music Publishing.

It’d be a great way to pull in an older demographic.
