If you’re looking for something new to put in your car that’ll give you yet another reason to drive slowly and erratically while you get your greasy fingerprints all over it, might I suggest either the Sony NV-U83T at $400 or the Sony NV-U73T at $300?

The NV-U83T ($400) has a 4.8-inch display, Bluetooth for use with your cell phone, text-to-speech driving directions, real-time traffic, and something called Gesture Command that allows you to access commonly-used commands via finger gestures. For instance, drawing an inverted V on the screen quickly routes you back home.

There’s also a feature called Position Plus that apparently keeps your location updated when your signal gets interrupted using “multiple sensors to monitor your position relative to the map.”

The NV-U73T ($300) has a 4.3-inch screen and is otherwise similar to the NV-U83T except it doesn’t have the Bluetooth connection or the Position Plus features.

Both devices are available for pre-order and should be available on February 22nd.
