If you’re comfortable around solder, and happen to have the tiniest screwdrivers in the world sitting about, you just might be capable of pulling this off. To be honest, it seems like a lot of work to put in for the “convenience” of Bluetooth in your pod, but DIY types get some kind of perverse pleasure out of all the unscrewing, torquing, and tweaking.

It happens that this guy had already modded his iPod in a more practical way by replacing the aging hard drive with flash memory. Apparently that’s a prerequisite for this mod, unless you get a bigger backplate for the thing. In any case, the directions are very precise so if you have a spare iPod around, why not give it a shot?
